Why I’ve Been MIA…
I have been very, very quiet lately, both on social media and on my website/newsletter. The reason for the radio silence is because I’ve been very busy working on a couple of big projects, and that’s what I wanted to share with you today.

I recently made two photography trips that presented me with incredible natural beauty under “uninteresting” light… Both were good examples of the critical importance of being able to adapt to the conditions we are presented with when we show up to make new work. Had I chosen to just not shoot, I would have missed out on these amazing opportunities. Here, I want to share with you the results of my own experiences so you too can see the value of letting nature guide you toward subjects that you may not have initially targeted.

Pre-Release of Selected Death Valley Images
I recently spent 10 days in Death Valley National Park with my guy, and we REALLY made the most of our time there. I can say with confidence that I worked my tail off, trying to maximize my opportunities to make some new work. We hiked a total of 76 miles during our time there! To whet your palate (and mine), I’m pre-releasing a mini-collection of the images I made on the trip, with the rest forthcoming after I transition out of this very busy time.
