This small body of work is from my recent trip to Antarctica in December of 2023, and is inspired by my wedding there. A lot of planning was involved, since we intended to be married on the continent, and so from the very beginning of the trip, my mind was on “couples” and the concept of union. By perceiving the place through this very personal frame of reference, I was able to create this fun and deeply meaningful collection of images that mark and celebrate my marriage. I find metaphors here for the nuances of our relationship, and all relationships.
