Online Mentoring

Are you looking for a photography mentor to help you develop your skills and elevate your artistry?

Are you interested in learning a specific technique or receiving feedback on an image portfolio?

Mentoring can be a key part of developing your vision and your skills, and can effectively fast-track you to reaching your full potential as an artist. I work with a limited number of landscape and nature photographers on a variety of topics, including exploring style and vision, building skills, learning specific techniques, goal-setting, portfolio reviews and image critiques, embracing creativity, and more. With no pre-determined program, I am able to tailor my approach to your needs. I have some clients looking for feedback on specific projects, others looking for a trusted person to consult with regularly and help guide and direct them forward on their development path.

My mentoring approach is based on the belief that a successful relationship involves commitment and effort from both parties, so after the initial 60 minute call, I offer this service in packages.

Mentorship: A Powerful Tool

In this Notebook entry, read about my own experience with mentorship, and how it helped me fast-track my development as an artist…

How does your online mentoring program work?

  • My online program has limited availability and is by application only

  • I believe a mentorship must be based on a genuine connection so after an initial one hour call, we can both decide if we will work well together going forward

  • Initial hour long call is $100

  • After the initial call, I offer packages, which is consistent with my philosophy that a successful mentoring relationship requires commitments from both parties

  • I offer two different packages, both detailed below and payable in advance

How much does it cost?

  • Initial 60 minute call is $100

  • After that, packages are available

  • The Six Pack is $625 for a total of 6 hours of calls ($750 value)

  • The Twelve Pack is $1150 for a total of 12 hours of calls ($1500 value)

  • How you allocate the hours is up to you - we can schedule monthly 60 minute calls or weekly 45 minute calls. Use your time balance at your own pace and when you are ready

  • You must use your balance within a year of purchase, though

What do we cover on the calls?

  • My mentoring is 100% custom - there is no structured pre-determined program

  • We will cover the topics you want to cover, and to the depth you determine

  • I specialize in holistic photography education, so we can cover everything from personal expression and creativity to settings, post processing, recommended readings and resources and more

  • I can help you with personal projects and goals

  • I can help you understand how to be prepared and confident in the outdoors

How do I book my dates?

  • After contacting me to confirm my availability, I will send you a link to purchase your session/package.

  • Upon payment, you will receive a Zoom link and a questionnaire that you will need to fill out and return to me before our call. This will give me a sense of your experience, your intended direction, and any other specifics I need to know to facilitate your development.

How much experience do I need to have to participate?

  • I am open to mentoring landscape and nature photographers of all skill levels and artistic interests.

Testimonial from Michelle Aronson:

“I recently completed my first six-pack of mentorship Zoom sessions with Michele, and I am very eager and excited to venture ahead with what has thus far been an extremely helpful and enriching experience! I came away from each of our sessions feeling like it was time really well spent. There was always something to reflect on, as well as actionable tips and recommendations to immediately implement or to work on over time.  I genuinely have felt heard and supported by Michele.  Her responses to my questions and concerns have provided me with much needed clarity.

I really appreciate Michele’s multi-faceted approach to photography. Besides being an artistic pursuit for which she creates beautiful imagery, I admire the time she has spent researching and writing about her subject matter, resulting in numerous e-books and projects that serve to enlighten and educate. This is very inspiring to me, and I feel it adds to the wealth of insight and knowledge she has to share. I look forward to seeing how my own photography journey grows and evolves with Michele’s continued guidance!”
