Welcome!

Fog moves through a pass on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, Maine.

I’m excited to announce a rebrand and relaunch of my website, which incorporates the addition of The Art of Place - a fresh learning resource for landscape and nature photographers.

In this new space, I will continue to share my own work, as I always have. The Art of Place will now be where I teach. My approach is a holistic one, teaching about both the technical and the artistic sides of photography in my eBooks, at various online and in-person conferences, and in private instruction.

  • Are you seeking artistic growth as part of your creative photography practice?

  • Here at The Art of Place, I offer an expanding collection of learning tools including eBooks, digital decks, private online mentoring, and private field workshops that focus on more than just the technical side of photography. Yes, mastering the technical details is important, but developing your ability to see, connect, and create in an expressive way is equally important!

  • Finding actionable instruction on the artistic aspects of photography is challenging - I know this from personal experience. But you’re in the right place. I can help you develop your inner artist, find new and exciting ways to connect with the natural world, and ultimately create more personally meaningful, expressive work.

  • Join me to learn the DUALITY of our craft. Let me help you grow holistically and think beyond just gear and settings.

  • Let me help you Elevate Your Artistry!

Over the coming months, I will be building The Art of Place into your go-to learning resource - THE place for eBooks, private instruction including online and in-person mentoring, free tips and tricks, and more.

Subscribe to keep up with all the new developments. You definitely don’t want to miss this!
